Wellington School   

Yesterday Saturday January 5th I left the house in Doonfoot and walked using only one crutch now  to the shore and as it was such a nice mild morning decided to try and do part of  the Ayr promenade. With only a couple of stops I made it to my brother's house which is close to Wellington School, a distance of nearly two miles so that is a personal best since  my wee accident in November. Admittedly I then phoned Anne to get the car out and come and get me that was enough for one day but I thoroughly enjoyed being out.

Scottish crutches.

Today Wednesday January 2nd 2013 Anne and I took the car to Auchencruive to hopefully meet up with ADRC who were having their traditional walk up the River Ayr to Annbank . As we had not informed anyone of our intentions we walked up the river path as far as the picnic benches where I thought the group may stop for lunch but as usual the best laid plans did not work out so we finished just walking back to the car which in total was a distance of about 1 mile so I am  steadily increasing the distance I feel comfortable with.
