cruise 2011

Yesterday we visite St Lucia which was a wee bit of a shanty town but if you ventured ou of town it was quite atractive but it also was very humid which made walking very tiring. Today Thursday we are in Grenada which must be one of the spice capitals of the world again very hot .

Cruise update

We left New Orleans and headed south back to the heat heading first to Grand Caymen and arrived there on Monday 27 December to find out that we could not tender us ashore due to the high winds seemingly this is not unusual for this island. From there we went to Jamaica which was not the best port of call as they were out to fiddle you and try and make a few bob. On then on Friday 31 to Grand Turk which was beautiful and we went swimming in the surk and generally doing all the touristy things. New Yeard day was a relaxing day at sea after all the festivities on board during the night. We celebrated New Year every hour as some where in the world it was there New Year. On Sunday January 2 we arrived in Tortolla where a friend of mine had a yaught and we spent the day sailing in the Carribean having one or two painkillers which is the name of a local very alcoholic drink. .Today Monday 3 we are in St Maarten and it is a tropical island in the sun everything you see on the picture post cards. Tomorrow we will be in St Lucia.
