At the summit of Mochrum Hill

Today Thursday January 9th I met the teacher at Culzean Castle entrance on a clear pleasantly mild morning to climb Mochrum Hill and return via the estate to the village of Maidens. It was a little bit muddy underfoot but not as bad as we had expected considering the amount of rain that has fallen on the West of Scotland recently.Both of us were not in the peak of fitness after the New Year break but completed 8 miles without too much difficulty. As usual once we arrived in the Maidens the trusty bus pass got us back to our respective abodes to end a another good winters walk.

PS As we are both going away on a cruise next week to the USA and Bahamas blogs may be scarce for a while but I will update it on our return in February with a few wee sea shanties and hopefully some nice sunny photos.
